Our Scarecrow Festival is a biennial event in the picturesque village of Foxton, South Cambridgeshire. Run by passionate volunteers, all the proceeds from the Scarecrow Festival will be divided between St Laurence’s Church, our village Primary School and Pre-school.

This village-wide event promises something for everyone. The theme for 2025 is “In Perfect Harmony”, and the creative residents of Foxton will be showcasing scarecrows inspired by songs, singers, music, lyrics, and everything in between. As in previous years, you’ll be able to wander through Foxton village from one scarecrow to another. Along the way, there will be fundraising activities to join in with, including a children’s quiz and the ever-popular “Where’s Wally?”— with a special scarecrow hidden somewhere in the village.
Indulge in delicious teas and cakes in the Village Hall, or head to our brand-new music venue, The Barn, to enjoy some live music by local musicians and sample our tasty bacon butties and home-made soup. Watch a demonstration of Ceroc dancing and enjoy the fantastic Royston Town Band, who will be performing in the Church. You can also pop into The White Horse pub for a refreshing real ale, with beer, wine and soft drinks also available at The Barn Bar.
You’ll be able to vote for your favourite scarecrow and this fun event for all ages will finish with prize giving and the raffle draw. Please come along and join us for some scarecrow fun!
